Our History

The history Palmer Trucks is based on exceeding our customer's expectations. We had our first installation on August 14, 2001. The truck is still owned and maintained by the same customer today.

We saw an opportunity to better service, our customers with a better product and a quicker installation. We were reliant on other installation companies to complete the up fits in timely manner. Our wait time could be 8 to 10 weeks. We were dependent on their timeframe, instead of our customer's need. The Fabrication Shop was to control our delivery schedule.

The other major opportunity was improving the quality of installation. We are experts in the front of the truck, why not use our expertise and talented professionals to service the hydraulic and bed products of the vocational units? Our customer's needed to be on the road, instead of the shop. The quality of work must be from the start of the life of a truck. Therefore the team began to implement ways to improve the installation of the equipment.

The property adjacent to the Indianapolis Dealership was acquired in 2001. This space allowed Palmer Trucks to expand the warehouse and truck inventory capabilities. In 2005, we leased a nearby facility to expand our productivity of installation of roll off and dump beds.

We will continue to grow and service the vocational market. We hope that you would experience the lower life cycle costs, less down time and quicker installation in the near future.
